Since our games are a bit different from face-to-face games, I am wondering what the consensus is on WHEN to reset Plot Points.

I like to think that when a game timeline has a significant break; a night's sleep, a shift in time, or something similar, that that's a good time to reset. Awarding AP would only be done when a significant milestone is reached.

I do find that some GMs are slow about awarding PP even though the concept "Plot points should fall like rain" as in Core P#22 indicates that they are an important feature of the Cortex rules.

Opinions, everyone?

I'm slow, but its because I forget about them more than anything else. I do my best, but I just get a bit useless.
I'd probably reset them every time I'm prodded by players :P

I've been re-setting them when there is a major story break (end of Episodes), but I think that each major or minor break (as you say, a good night's sleep etc) would be a good idea.

I do try to give out plot points frequently, resets I've been less good at doing. I've got a good place for the games I run and will be making some adjustments later today.

On this site and elsewhere, I tend to rain the PP down frequently. Usually resulting in MAX outs more often than not. Though, I think it does help to have a reset idea like this in mind for Play-by-posts; just incase one doesn't hand them out that often.
